About the Role:
Working across the Newark area, you will be working 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 13:30, 39.2 weeks per year. You'll play a key role in leading catering operations across multiple sites, ensuring the delivery of high quality meals and excellent customer service standards. As this is a mobile role, you will be required to travel between locations as required.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, cooking and serving high quality meals
  • Managing day to day kitchen operations
  • Leading and supporting catering teams across multiple sites
  • Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and health and safety
  • Managing stock control, ordering and food waste
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Delivering excellent customer service to pupils, staff and visitors
  • Supporting sites with planned and unplanned cover requirements

Who are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in a Head of Kitchen, Cook Manager or similar catering role
  • Experience working within a school or commercial kitchen environment
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • A passion for delivering high quality food and customer service
  • The ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Excellent communication and team management skills
  • The ability to adapt and respond to change in a growing organisation
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential
