£18.20 per hour PAYE / £25.00 per hour Umbrella
Hybrid Working | 1 Day per Week Onsite (Tuesday)
Initial 3-Month Contract

We're recruiting a Planning Technician to join a Local Authority Planning team, supporting the validation and registration of planning applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate and register planning applications.
• Review plans, drawings and supporting documents against validation requirements.
• Check and calculate planning application fees.
• Liaise with applicants, agents and architects to obtain missing information.
• Manage the Planning Services inbox and respond to enquiries.
• Maintain accurate records using planning systems and databases.
• Support Planning Committee administration and Local Land Charges work.

About You

• Strong administration and attention to detail skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Comfortable reviewing technical documents and drawings.
• Able to manage workloads independently and meet deadlines.
• Previous planning, local government, property or administrative experience is desirable.
• Graduates or students with an interest in Planning, Geography, Property or Architecture are encouraged to apply.
