Are you passionate about catering, teamwork, and delivering exceptional service? Vertas is looking for a dedicated Food Service Assistant to join our Catering Team.

About the Role:
Based at East Leake Academy, LE12 6QN, you will be working 12:00pm to 2:00pm, Monday to Friday, 10 hours per week, 39.2 weeks per year. You'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of high quality catering services and ensuring excellent customer care.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals.
  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Washing up and cleaning catering equipment and work areas.
  • Assisting with stock rotation and storage procedures.
  • Following Health and Safety and food safety requirements at all times.
  • Providing excellent customer service to pupils, staff and visitors.
  • Supporting the wider catering team to ensure smooth day to day operations.

  • Previous catering experience is desirable but not essential.
  • A team player who can work effectively in a busy environment.
