About the Role:
Based at Abbey Gates Primary, NG15 9BN, you will be working 11:30am to 1:30pm, Monday to Friday, 10 hours per week, 39.2 weeks per year. You'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of high quality catering services and ensuring excellent customer care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals.
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.
- Washing up and cleaning catering equipment and work areas.
- Assisting with stock rotation and storage procedures.
- Following Health and Safety and food safety requirements at all times.
- Providing excellent customer service to pupils, staff and visitors.
- Supporting the wider catering team to ensure smooth day to day operations.
Who are we looking for?

- Previous catering experience is desirable but not essential.
- A team player who can work effectively in a busy environment.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to work efficiently and follow instructions.
