About the Role
Based across the Newark area, including Gunthorpe, Newark and Mansfield, this is a mobile position and requires your own transport.
Hours: 20 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 1:30pm, flexibility required
Weeks per Year: 39.2
You will play a key role in delivering nutritious meals, maintaining high food safety standards and supporting the smooth operation of school kitchens.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day to day running of school kitchens
- Prepare and serve meals to pupils and staff
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations
- Order stock and assist with budget management
- Support and supervise kitchen staff where required
- Maintain excellent food quality and customer service standards
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a similar catering role
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive and flexible approach to work
What You'll Need
- A valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- The right to work in the UK
- An Enhanced DBS, or willingness to obtain one
