About the Role:
Based at County Enterprise Foods, S81 7DW, working 37 hours per week, you will play a key role in the day to day operation of the freezer stores. This is a physical, hands on role where you will ensure stock is managed effectively, orders are picked accurately and all food safety standards are maintained.
You will also oversee a small team of 2-3 colleagues, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Freezer management: opening, checking and monitoring freezer temperatures to ensure compliance
* Stock control: managing, rotating and recording stock accurately using spreadsheets
* Order picking: ensuring all orders are picked correctly and on time
* Team supervision: supporting and coordinating a small team to meet operational needs
* Health and safety: maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and organisation within freezer areas
* Communication: liaising with multiple teams to ensure smooth day to day operations
* Covering for the Dry Stores person (when on leave)
* Weighing up ingredients in line with production requirements
* Receiving goods in, checking deliveries and ensuring accurate storage
Who are we looking for?
* Experience in a stores, warehouse or catering environment is desirable
* Previous experience supervising or leading a small team is advantageous
* Physically fit and comfortable working in a freezer environment
* Basic IT skills, confident using spreadsheets for stock control
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
* Good communication skills, able to liaise with different teams effectively
* Level 3 Food Safety qualification, or willingness to work towards this
