About the Role:
Based at NCC Bilsthorpe Flying High Academy, NG22 8PS you will be working 25 hours per week during term time, leading the kitchen operation in a busy primary school environment. You'll play a key role in delivering high quality, nutritious meals that meet required standards and delight our customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing the day to day running of the school kitchen
* Preparing, cooking and serving meals in line with set menus
* Leading and supporting kitchen colleagues
* Ensuring all food hygiene, health and safety standards are met
* Ordering stock and managing kitchen supplies
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen
Who are we looking for?
* Previous experience in a similar catering or kitchen leadership role
* Level 2 Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain
* Ability to work independently and manage a small team
* Enhanced DBS check is required, if you do not currently hold one, you must be willing to obtain it
* Great communication skills and experience in a similar catering setting
* A team player providing an excellent service across the Vertas Group
* The ability to adapt and respond to change in a growing organisation
