Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Northamptonshire Children's Trust for an Administrator to provide essential support managing a high volume of statutory meeting records within Children's Services.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised, detail-focused individual with strong listening and written skills to contribute to safeguarding processes in a flexible, mostly remote role.

About the role

You will play a key role in producing accurate, high-quality minutes from recordings of statutory meetings such as Child Protection Conferences and reviews.

With no requirement to travel between sites, your focus will be on efficiently listening to recordings and producing structured minutes using set templates.

The role requires emotional resilience, as the content discussed within meetings can be sensitive in nature.

Key responsibilities

  • Listen to recorded statutory meetings
  • Produce clear, accurate, and timely minutes using set templates
  • Record key decisions, actions, and outcomes in line with safeguarding protocols
  • Ensure documentation is completed to a high standard and submitted within deadlines
  • Upload and manage records within internal systems (Liquidlogic)
  • Work collaboratively with the wider minute-taking team and attend regular virtual catch-ups
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

What we're looking for

  • Strong minute-taking or transcription experience
  • Excellent listening skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to produce clear, well-structured written documents
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Competent IT skills
  • Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
  • Emotional resilience when dealing with sensitive subject matter
  • Experience within Children's Services or safeguarding environments (desirable)

Working arrangements & benefits

  • 2-day onsite induction, with equipment provided for remote working
  • Weekly virtual team check-ins
  • Monthly team meeting (at One Angel Square, Northampton or William Knibb Meeting Suite, Kettering)
  • Flexible working days (3 days per week)

Additional information

Interviews will be held face-to-face and will include a 20-minute minute-taking test.
