About the Role:
Based in Bramcote Hills Primary School, NG9 3GE, you will be working Monday to Friday, 07:00am to 2:00pm, 35 hours per week, 39.2 weeks per year. You'll play a key role in leading the kitchen operation, delivering high quality meals and maintaining standards that meet our expectations and delight our customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading the day to day kitchen operation
* Preparing and cooking nutritious meals in line with menu and dietary requirements
* Ordering stock and managing food budgets
* Ensuring food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards are maintained
* Supervising and supporting kitchen staff
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment
Who are we looking for?
* Previous experience in a catering or kitchen leadership role is essential
* Ability to lead and motivate a small team
* Enhanced DBS check is required - if you do not currently hold one, you must be willing to obtain it
* Good communication skills and experience in a similar catering setting
* A team player providing an excellent service across the Vertas Group
* The ability to make the best decisions with Vertas in mind
* The ability to adapt and respond to change in a growing organisation
