Vertas is looking for a dedicated Food Service Assistant to join our Catering team.

About the Role:
Based at Lantern Lane Primary & Nursery, LE12 6QN, you will be working 11:45 - 13:30, 8.75 hours per week, 39.2 weeks per year. There are four people on site, creating a supportive and friendly team environment. You'll play a key role in providing a great lunchtime experience for pupils and supporting the smooth running of the catering service.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with the preparation and service of meals
* Helping maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area
* Supporting compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations
* Providing friendly, helpful service to pupils and staff
* Working as part of the on‑site catering team
Who are we looking for?
* Previous experience in a catering or customer‑facing role is desirable
* A positive, team‑focused attitude
* Ability to follow food safety and hygiene standards
* Reliable and able to work during the lunchtime period
