About the Role:
Based in Worksop, Retford and surrounding areas, you will be working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:30 - 13:30. You'll play a key role in supporting the kitchen team and ensuring meals are prepared to the highest standards for pupils and staff across multiple sites.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with the preparation and cooking of meals
* Supporting the Head Cook or Chef in daily operations
* Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety
* Helping with stock control and kitchen organisation
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Who are we looking for?
* Previous experience in a similar catering role is desirable
* Ability to work independently and efficiently
* Enhanced DBS check is required - if you do not currently hold one, you must be willing to obtain it
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A team player providing an excellent service across the Vertas Group
* The ability to adapt and respond to change in a growing organisation
