Key Information Documents
Regulation 13A of the Conduct Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations (2003) states that Opus, as an employment agency, must provide a Key Information Document for any agency workers seeking work through us. The below Key Information Documents are designed to give increased transparency of information to our potential workers, particularly regarding pay. These should be reviewed before you agree terms with us to ensure that you have a clear idea of how each payment type works and how any deductions or fees (in the case of Umbrella Companies) will affect your take-home-pay.
There are three main engagement types via Opus:
Pay as you earn (PAYE)
Personal Services Company (PSC/Ltd)
Umbrella.
Each KID provides a representative example statement which lists out the deductions that will be made for that engagement type. The figures are only an estimate and will not relate to your specific assignment.
PAYE
If you engage with Opus People Solutions via the PAYE route, we will process your pay via our payroll. Any required deductions to your pay will be made by us and remitted to HMRC.
PAYE KID
PSC (Ltd)
If you engage with Opus People Solutions via your PSC, your engagement will be regulated by IR35 rules. Please review the below files dependent on the IR35 determination of the role. If you have any questions about working with us via your PSC, or about IR35, please reach out to your consultant.

Umbrella Company
Opus People Solutions has a PSL of Umbrella Companies that can be used for your engagement with us. Below is a sample of Key Information Documents provided by some of the Umbrella Companies on our PSL, if you would like to view our Umbrella PSL, please email admin@opuspeoplesolutions.co.uk. If you wish to engage via an umbrella company that is not on our PSL, please reach out to your consultant, as we may be able to onboard them, providing they successfully complete Opus’ stringent compliance checks.
