North Northamptonshire Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Rough Sleep Support Worker to join their team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of homelessness and rough sleeping services who is passionate about supporting vulnerable individuals within the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage directly with rough sleepers through outreach and support activities across North Northamptonshire.
• Complete assessments and develop tailored support plans to help individuals access accommodation and specialist support services.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams, external agencies and partner organisations to achieve positive outcomes.
• Undertake occasional out-of-hours outreach work as required.
• Identify, manage and escalate safeguarding concerns and risks appropriately.
• Maintain accurate case records and reports in line with service requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience supporting rough sleepers and homeless individuals.
• Good understanding of homelessness legislation and associated support services.
• Knowledge of safeguarding principles and risk management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Enhanced Adult DBS clearance.
