About the Role:
Working across various school sites throughout the county, the post is full time and you will be working flexibly as site visits can be required between 6am and 7pm, based on school schedules and site requirements. This is a permanent position offering a salary of £26,824 per annum. You'll play a key role in ensuring high cleaning standards are maintained while delivering practical training and development to frontline cleaning teams.
Your responsibilities will include
- Travel between sites to provide cleaning and training support
- Carry out high standard cleaning using appropriate chemicals and machinery
- Unlock and secure buildings, maintaining site safety and cleanliness
- Deliver face to face training to frontline staff on cleaning techniques, equipment use, and health and safety practices
- Develop and maintain training documentation, including updates on legislation, procedures, and site specific requirements
- Support the annual FM training plan and contribute to its development
- Monitor training effectiveness and recommend improvements
- Trial and document new cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with external audit standards and GDPR requirements in training records
- Collaborate with Account Managers and the Systems & Quality Manager to identify training gaps and future needs
- Provide evidence of planned and delivered training sessions
- Support the development of training aligned with British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICS) standards
Who are we looking for?
- Proven experience within the cleaning industry
- Strong knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment
- Confident delivering training and communicating with school staff, including Business Managers and Head Teachers
- Relevant qualifications including COSHH, Health & Safety, and other industry recognised standards
- Comfortable using technology to support training delivery and record keeping
- Flexible, reliable, and able to respond to short notice cover requirements
- High level of personal drive and commitment to excellent service
