Licensing and Parking Manager

We're recruiting for an experienced Licensing and Parking Manager to join a local authority on an initial 3-month contract.
In this role, you'll lead the Licensing, Parking, and Regulatory Services teams, driving service improvements, managing enforcement activity, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and council policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage licensing functions including alcohol, gambling, taxis, animal welfare, and scrap metal.
- Oversee off-street parking operations, enforcement, appeals, strategy, and income generation.
- Lead investigations, inspections, and enforcement campaigns.
- Manage and develop the Licensing and Parking team.
- Represent the council in licensing appeals and court proceedings.
- Prepare reports and provide advice to senior managers and elected members.
- Monitor budgets, contracts, and service performance.
About You:
- Strong experience within Licensing, Parking, or Regulatory Services.
- Previous management experience within a local authority setting.
- Excellent knowledge of licensing and parking legislation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
