£245 per day PAYE / £340 per day Umbrella - Inside IR35
37 Hours per Week
Shropshire Council is seeking an experienced Senior Conservation Officer to provide specialist conservation and heritage advice on planning applications, listed buildings, conservation areas and wider historic environment projects.
Working within the Historic Environment Team, you will assess planning proposals, provide expert conservation guidance, support heritage initiatives and deliver conservation services to Telford & Wrekin Council under an established Service Level Agreement.
Key Requirements
- Experience within conservation, heritage or historic environment planning.
- Strong knowledge of listed buildings, conservation areas and planning legislation.
- Experience advising on planning applications and heritage assets.
- Excellent report writing and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently within a local authority environment.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business travel.
- Willingness to undertake occasional site visits and meetings across the region.
