Payroll & Pensions Trainee
Location: Ipswich Hybrid
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £25k

Key Responsibilities
- Support our team of specialist deliver the portfolio of end-to-end monthly payrolls
- Complete payrolls processes accurately and within agreed timescales
- Administer pension processes including Auto Enrolment, AVCs, Local Government and Teacher Pension Schemes.
- Process pension joiners, leavers, transfers, retirements, and in-service changes
- Reconcile payroll and pension data and produce accurate reports
- Liaise with pension providers, finance teams, and other stakeholders
- Support investigations into and resolve payroll and pension queries in a timely and professional manner
- Support the administration aspect of audits, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised, and eager to learn. You will have:
- Experience in or a strong desire to learn payroll processing and pension administration
- Excellent computer literacy skills, including all Microsoft packages.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- High attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately
