About the Role
Based in the Newark area, you will be working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You'll play a key role in maintaining public spaces such as parks, office grounds, sports facilities, and local grass verges, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest standard.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
* Carrying out routine grounds maintenance including mowing, strimming, edging, hedge cutting, and leaf clearance.
* Driving company vehicles and transporting equipment safely between sites.
* Measuring, marking out, and maintaining football pitches, running tracks, and other sports facilities.
* Operating and maintaining grounds machinery, hand tools, and specialist equipment safely and efficiently.
* Reporting faults, arranging servicing, and ensuring equipment is stored securely.
* Collecting and disposing of litter, debris, and green waste responsibly.
* Assisting with recycling initiatives and sustainable grounds maintenance practices.
* Supporting wider grounds maintenance projects as required.
Who Are We Looking For?
* A reliable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operative / Driver.
* Good attention to detail and pride in delivering high standards.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A full UK driving licence.
* Experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture, or a similar outdoor environment.
What You'll Bring
* Strong attention to detail with a passion for maintaining outdoor spaces.
* Physical stamina to carry out manual work in all weather conditions.
* Experience operating grounds maintenance equipment.
* Knowledge of sports pitch marking and maintenance would be advantageous.
* PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates are desirable.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Enhanced DBS clearance is required for this role.
