Facilities Management including CleaningOpus People Solutions are excited to recruit on behalf of Vertas for a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join the Facilities Team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining outdoor spaces and enjoys working as part of a team to deliver high standards across school environments.
Location: Newark (travel between multiple school sites) or NG5 6NZ
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 15:30
Contract: Temporary (with potential to become permanent)

Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining school outdoor areas to a high standard
- Grass cutting and general grounds upkeep
- Operating equipment such as strimmers and other powered tools
- Marking out football pitches and running track lines
- Ensuring all areas are tidy, safe, and presentable at all times
- Travelling between various school locations across the Newark area
Requirements
- A full UK driving licence (essential)
- Enhanced DBS check (required due to working in schools)
- Previous grounds maintenance or similar experience desirable
- Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment and power tools
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
