Rate: £25.54 PAYE / £34.31 Umbrella
Hours: 37 per week

The Opportunity

Shropshire Council is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Lead to support the delivery of data-led decision making across Adult Social Care and Housing services on an interim basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking Insight Team at a key time, helping deliver high-quality intelligence to support service improvement, transformation programmes, and strategic decision-making.

You will act as the lead expert for data, performance, and insight, working closely with senior leaders to provide clear, accurate and actionable analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and delivery of business intelligence and performance insights for Adult & Housing services
Act as the key point of contact for senior leaders, including the Director of Adult Social Services
Support transformation programmes, including demand modelling and service redesign
Lead on CQC inspection and peer review intelligence requirements
Drive improvements in data quality, reporting, and performance management
Develop forecasting models to support planning and service delivery
Promote innovative use of data, including dashboards and automation
Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners across the health and social care system
Identify key trends, risks and opportunities to inform strategic decisions

About You

Strong experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or performance management
Background in public sector, ideally within Adult Social Care or Housing
Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
Experience supporting service transformation and improvement programmes
Strong analytical skills, including forecasting and data modelling
Experience leading or managing teams is desirable
Passion for using data to drive better outcomes
