Walsall Council are looking for someone to join their team for a 3 month contract initially to work as a Senior Planning Officer (Enforcement). This is a hybrid working role that will be based out of Walsall Civic Centre part of the week. It will be a 37 hour per week contract with standard office hours. Equipment will be provided.
The contractors will be joining a team of 5 existing enforcement staff and will be assisting with the clearance of historic backlog work and also taking formal action of specific sites which has been prioritised for action. We are looking for contractors that are experienced in planning enforcement, capable of drafting notices and dealing with appeal work.
A planning qualification or relevant degree will be required along with experience of working in the space ideally within another local authority.
