About the Role
Northampton Children's Trust is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Permanence Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting children who are looked after by the Local Authority and have a Care Plan of adoption, helping them to achieve long-term permanence and positive life outcomes.
In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, carers, and partner agencies, keeping children firmly at the heart of everything you do. You will build meaningful, professional relationships with children and young people to ensure proactive, effective planning for each child's future.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting children who are looked after with Care Plans of adoption
Working closely with families, carers, and multi-agency partners
Contributing to robust permanence planning
Ensuring children's voices remain central to all decision-making
About You
Qualified Social Worker with experience working with looked after children
Experience may come from LAC teams, court teams, safeguarding services, or other areas of children's services
Confident working within a fast-paced, high-demand environment
Committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for children and families
