Treasury Assistant
Pay Rate: £13 per hour PAYE
Location: Onsite, based at Friars Bridge Road, Ipswich, IP1 1RR
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 9am - 5pm with 30 minute unpaid break, Monday - Friday.
Duration: Temporary basis, 6 months with potential to extend.
Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our Client, Vertas, for a Treasury Assistant on a temporary basis.
Day to day duties include:
- Banking Operations - Process daily bank transactions, including receipts, payments, and transfers. Monitor and maintain accurate bank balances across multiple accounts. Assist with cashflow forecasting and reporting.
- Reconciliations - Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations. Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Compliance & Controls - Ensure adherence to company policies and financial regulations. Support internal and external audit requirements.
- Customer & Supplier Interaction - Respond to queries regarding payments and receipts. Liaise with banks and internal teams to resolve issues.
- Process Improvement - Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency within banking processes. Support implementation of new systems or enhancements.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a finance or banking role (shared services experience desirable). Strong understanding of banking processes and reconciliations. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems (Dynamics experience advantageous). Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
