The role focuses on building strong, long‑lasting relationships with clients while driving growth across existing accounts for the business. You'll take ownership of client enquiries from initial contact through to quotation, ensuring responses are delivered within agreed timescales. A key part of the position involves managing commercial commitments on client contracts and orders, making sure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with clear communication throughout. You'll also play an active role in maximising margins across your portfolio by maintaining oversight of commercial performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Main Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Communication
Develop high levels of client satisfaction that encourage repeat business and long‑term partnerships.
Maintain regular contact with clients through calls and email
Provide timely, accurate information and solutions to any delivery or quality issues.
Account Management
Manage assigned accounts in line with contractual obligations
Update client order books and schedules weekly to ensure accurate visibility of demand and progress.
Attend, minute, and when required, chair client review meetings.
Create proposals for existing clients, including labour and material estimates.
Commercial & Administrative Duties
Ensure all commercial aspects of accounts are accurately captured within business systems
Support sales administration activities as needed.
Undertake additional reasonable tasks outside normal duties when required.
Skills & Experience Requirements
Strong literacy and numeracy, with the ability to write clear, concise, and persuasive proposals and supporting materials.
Proven account management experience within a manufacturing environment - essential
HNC or higher in a relevant engineering discipline (desirable).
Excellent verbal communication skills across phone, meetings, and presentations.
Ability to work under pressure and independently.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
