Social Worker - Safeguarding

Northamptonshire Children's Trust is seeking an experienced Safeguarding Social Worker to join the Wellingborough and One Angel Square locality team. This role focuses on delivering high‑quality safeguarding services and ensuring the welfare and protection of children and families across the area.

Location: Wellingborough and One Angel Sqaure
Rate: £38 per hour
Hybrid Working: Minimum 3 days per week in the office

Key Responsibilities

• Manage safeguarding cases in line with statutory guidance and local procedures.
• Undertake assessments, visits, and direct work with children and families.
• Develop and implement effective safety plans.
• Work collaboratively with multi‑agency partners.
• Maintain accurate and timely case records.
• Contribute to court work where required.

Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work degree or equivalent.
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Strong safeguarding experience within children's services.
• Ability to travel across Northamptonshire to attend visits, meetings, and office locations as needed.

Working Arrangements

• Social Workers are usually based in the office closest to the children and families on their caseload.
• For those managing cross‑county responsibilities, there is full flexibility to hot desk across any locality office within Northamptonshire.
• Hybrid working is available, with an expectation of at least three days per week in the office to support effective practice and team collaboration.
