About the Role:
Based in The Hold, Ipswich, IP4 1LR, you will be working- One position to work Mon, Tues and Wed 11.30am - 5.30pm - 6hrs a day, 18hrs a week.
Second position to work Thurs & Friday 10am - 5.30pm and Saturday 11.30am - 5.30pm, total of 20hrs a week. You'll play a key role in safeguarding the site, responding swiftly to incidents, and delivering a professional service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect suspicious activities.
- First point of contact for all visitors
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when required.
- Document all incidents accurately and report findings to management.
- Assist in the implementation of loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism while interacting with clients, staff, and the public.
- Custodian duties, cleaning, setting up meeting rooms
Who are we looking for?
- Previous experience in a security role is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- SIA licence required
