About the Role?


Based at Lowestoft Riverside, you will be working 37.5 hours a week (Shift work from 5.30am to 8pm, this will include some weekend work). You'll play a key role in providing high-quality services to ensure our clients environments are spotless, safe, and welcoming.


Your responsibilities will include?


· To be responsible for opening and locking up all contracted buildings at the start and end of a day.
· To check all buildings for any signs of damage and report any problems as appropriate.· Respond appropriately to any alarm problems
· To regularly check equipment has been logged out and follow up on any discrepancies.
· To ensure that all stocks of paper, toners and other consumables are maintained at a suitable level.
· To undertake minor repairs and maintenance and ensure they are carried out under the current Health and Safety regulations
· To ensure all customers receive a supportive and efficient Vertas business support service.
· To provide a proactive security service at all times.
· To complete further training in use of the Video Conferencing and new Conference Facility booking systems and all other training that is appropriate to carry out your daily work to health and safety standards and quality assurance
· You will be required to undertake shifts rotating each week and will be required to do split shifts to cover sickness and holidays
· You will be required to undertake the 24/7 standby and callout response and coverage on a rota basis (this will require a 20-minute response time)


Who are we looking for?

  • Knowledge of electricity for identifying alarms & lighting problems
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Qualified First Aider
  • Basic numeracy for stock control duties
  • Problem solving skills e.g. ability to follow up missing deliveries and general maintenance skills
  • Good verbal & written communications skills required to convey varied information with a range of audiences, including staff of all levels, members of the public etc.
  • Previous experience in a building services role, customer services or security services.
  • Full clean UK driving licence
