About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team, specialising in parenting assessments. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families by delivering high-quality assessments that inform care planning and safeguard vulnerable children.
Responsibilities
As a Parenting Assessment Social Worker, you will:
- Undertake comprehensive parenting assessments, including pre-birth plans, to evaluate parental capacity and identify support needs.
- Work closely with families, professionals, and partner agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children.
- Prepare analytical, evidence-based reports for court proceedings and child protection conferences.
- Contribute to safeguarding plans and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practice standards.
Key Requirements
- Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in statutory social work.
- Proven experience in parenting assessments and core parent assessment training
- Strong understanding of child protection, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a complex caseload effectively.
