About the Role:
Based in Chelmsford, you will be working 42 hours per week with shifts consisting of days and nights, between 5.30am - 5.30pm & 5.30pm - 5.30am. Some degree of flexibility is required. Pay rate is £13.00 per hour for Gatehouse side and £14.42 per hour for CCTV duties. You'll play a key role in safeguarding a site, responding swiftly to incidents, and delivering a professional service that reassures our clients and upholds Oak Park's standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect suspicious activities.
- Monitor CCTV systems and utilise surveillance techniques to identify potential security threats.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid as necessary.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when required.
- Document all incidents accurately and report findings to management.
- Assist in the implementation of loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism while interacting with clients, staff, and the public.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills related to security practices and first aid.
Who are we looking for?
- Previous experience in a security role is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is an advantage.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A valid driving licence may be required depending on the location of duties.
- A valid SIA license (Security Industry Authority) is mandatory.
