About the Role
Northampton Children's Trust is looking for a Team Manager to lead their Children in Care Long-Term Team, providing strategic oversight and operational leadership to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people in care
As a Team Manager, you will provide leadership and oversight for a team of social workers who support children in long-term care arrangements. You will be responsible for driving performance, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and promoting best practice across the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of social workers within the Children in Care Long-Term Team.
- Provide regular supervision, guidance, and professional development for staff.
- Oversee care planning and permanency arrangements for children and young people.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, statutory guidance, and safeguarding standards.
- Monitor team performance and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies, carers, and families to deliver holistic care plans.
- Manage resources effectively, balancing caseloads and ensuring timely interventions.
