Family Support Practitioner
Pay:
- £14.82 per hour PAYE / £19.73 per hour Umbrella
- £17.47 per hour PAYE / £23.37 per hour Umbrella
Location: Hybrid - Various locations across the county.
Initial priority areas:
- South Suffolk: Sudbury
- Central: Stowmarket
- Coastal North: Leiston & Saxmundham
- West: Forest Heath
Induction: Office-based initially for training, shadowing, and joint visits.
About the Role
We are seeking a Family Support Practitioner to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of families. This role involves working directly in family homes to create positive change through practical, hands-on approaches. You will build strong relationships with families and their networks, delivering tailored casework and interventions.
A key part of the role includes Family Time (Supervised Contact), where you will transport children and observe parent-child interactions to support court processes when a child has been removed from home.
Key Requirements
- Must be a car driver with access to a vehicle (approximately 70% of the role involves travel).
- Minimum 3 years' experience working with families in a support or intervention capacity.
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple locations.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
