Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Mobile Caretaker to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all areas are kept in a pristine condition, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your cleaning expertise within a professional setting, supporting the organisation's daily operations.
Duties
- Perform commercial cleaning duties across various areas, including offices, corridors, and communal spaces
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
- Manage waste disposal efficiently and ensure bins are emptied regularly
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance issues or hazards and report them promptly
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and cleaning materials as needed
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and maintained in good condition
- Support with minor maintenance tasks when required to uphold the safety and functionality of the premises
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills and reliability
- Physical fitness to perform cleaning duties effectively, including lifting and standing for extended periods
- A proactive approach to safety and hygiene protocols
- Previous janitorial experience will be considered an advantage but is not essential for highly motivated candidates willing to learn
