Salary: £12.71 per hour

A Site Manager / Caretaker is required to oversee the day-to-day maintenance and operations of a primary school in Worksop. This is a key role ensuring the school site remains safe, secure and well-presented for pupils, staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the school site is secure at all times including opening and locking up
• Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs across the site
• Monitor and manage heating, lighting and water systems
• Maintain external areas including playgrounds, car parks and pathways
• Support with deliveries and movement of furniture and equipment
• Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of communal areas and facilities
• Liaise with contractors and report issues to the Facilities Management team
• Conduct regular site checks and risk assessments
• Support emergency procedures including fire drills and evacuations

What We're Looking For

• Reliable and proactive with a strong sense of responsibility
• Previous experience in site management or caretaking preferred
• Basic maintenance and DIY skills essential
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Understanding of health and safety procedures
• Must hold an Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one
