About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Location: Cambridge (Hybrid - 2/3 days in the Wisbech office)
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete statutory visits for CIN (Child in Need), CP (Child Protection), and CIC (Children in Care) cases.
- Chair CIN and Core Group Meetings.
- Manage a caseload including CIN, CP, and CIC cases, some of which may involve PLO or S31 Care Proceedings.
- Prepare and complete Court Reports, risk assessments, and parenting assessments.
- Attend court with support from a Senior Practitioner or Team Manager.
- Participate in the Duty rota.
- Attend ICPC and RCPC meetings and write conference reports.
- Assess and manage risk effectively to safeguard children and families.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
- Experience in Family Safeguarding and statutory social work.
- Strong knowledge of child protection procedures and court processes.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
