Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Caretaker to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the environment remains safe, hygienic, and welcoming. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of a well-maintained facility, supporting a positive experience for visitors and staff alike. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is highly desirable.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks across various areas, including offices, communal spaces, and outdoor areas as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, restrooms, and other facilities using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Ensure waste disposal is carried out efficiently and in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance issues such as leaks, broken fixtures, or safety hazards and report them promptly.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and cleaning materials to ensure continuous availability.
- Assist with organising storage areas to keep equipment and supplies tidy and accessible.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment for all staff and visitors.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
