Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This role involves a variety of tasks including landscape maintenance, gardening, and the operation of various tools and equipment. The Groundskeeper will play a vital role in ensuring that our grounds are well-kept and inviting.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance of gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas to ensure a tidy appearance.
- Operate power tools and hand tools for tasks such as mowing, trimming, digging, and building garden features.
- Irrigate plants and lawns effectively to promote healthy growth.
- Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify areas needing attention or repair.
- Maintain equipment in good working order through regular cleaning and minor repairs.
- Assist in planting, transplanting, and caring for flowers, shrubs, and trees.
- Collaborate with team members to complete larger landscaping projects as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred.
- Familiarity with mechanical knowledge related to gardening tools and equipment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail with a passion for maintaining outdoor spaces.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
