Hours: Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week
Salary: £12.65 per hour
Contract: Permanent
Weekly Hours: 20 hours
Setting: Working within the Meals at Home distribution service

A Delivery Driver is required to support the Meals at Home Service. This role involves the collection, packing, and delivery of meals to customers and lunch clubs, ensuring food safety standards and providing a daily "Safe & Well" check for service users.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, pack, and deliver meals on assigned routes within specified timeframes
• Carry out Safe & Well checks, observing and reporting changes in customer welfare
• Ensure hot meals are accessible and assist customers where needed
• Report vehicle defects and maintain cleanliness of vehicles and equipment
• Operate vehicles in line with NCC Vehicle Operation guidance and legal requirements
• Record and return waste meals and complete safety checks accurately
• Respond to emergencies and contact Team Leader when required
• Lock and unlock the distribution facility as part of weekend rota
• Distribute leaflets and assist with customer surveys when requested

What We're Looking For

• Must be over 21 and hold a full clean driving licence
• Minimum two years' driving experience with confidence in all weather conditions
• Knowledge of basic food hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Strong customer care skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Flexible and adaptable to meet service needs
• Must hold an Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one
