Location: Rainworth, NG21 0AG
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
Salary: £13.26 per hour
Contract: Permanent
Weekly Hours: 35 hours
Setting: Working within the Meals at Home distribution service

A Team Leader is required to supervise a staff team delivering the community Meals at Home Service. This role ensures effective deployment of staff and resources, compliance with health and safety standards, and high-quality service delivery to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and co-ordinate the deployment of staff for meal distribution rounds
• Supervise the 'pick and pack' and driving team, providing on-the-job training
• Monitor staff performance and maintain accurate records for audits and reviews
• Communicate effectively with management, suppliers, and customers
• Arrange maintenance of vehicles, plant, and equipment, ensuring security and compliance
• Monitor vehicle hygiene standards and driving licence checks
• Respond to emergency incidents and support drivers on routes
• Conduct risk assessments and implement actions to reduce risks
• Participate in weekend on-call rota and emergency call-outs
• Assist senior workers with related service responsibilities

What We're Looking For

• Clean driving licence
• Knowledge of basic food hygiene and health & safety procedures
• IT skills sufficient for record-keeping and system monitoring
• NVQ Level 2 in Team Leading or willingness to undertake
• Previous experience in food-related services and customer care
• Strong organisational and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and adaptable to meet service needs
• Must hold an Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one
