LABC is the membership organisation that works on behalf of local authorities, providing the voice of public service building control to various government departments and industry partners.
LABC provides public sector building control with technical guidance, accredited education, performance standards and validation assessments for 2,500 surveyors and technicians working for local authorities across England and Wales.
Following a successful recruitment of over 200 trainees since 2023, LABC is recruiting more Trainee Building Inspectors in locations across England.
Alongside receiving education and training, LABC will employ you to work in a local authority near to where you live, allowing you to put your learning to the test in a real-world environment. You’ll be fully supported in your job by LABC, and you’ll have an experienced professional from the local authority to mentor you and provide practical on the job advice and training.
Throughout the programme, you’ll be paid a competitive salary, with all education costs fully funded. Registered building inspectors currently earn between £40k and £80k depending on their experience, registration class and location.
