Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. This position requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support, making it essential for the Caretaker to be attentive to the needs of those they serve.
Duties
The Caretaker will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Performing commercial cleaning duties to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the facility.
- Assisting with daily living activities, ensuring residents receive the support they need.
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in residents' conditions or needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintaining a safe and organised environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Engaging with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, fostering a sense of community.
- Assisting with meal preparation and serving as required.
- Participating in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
Experience
While prior experience in a similar role is advantageous, it is not mandatory. The following skills are desirable:
- Experience in commercial cleaning or related fields is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with residents, families, and staff.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
