Location: Skegby, NG17 3DH
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00am to 16:00pm (07:00am to 15:30pm on Fridays)
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Contract: Permanent
Weekly Hours: 37 hours
Setting: Working within a depot environment

Nottinghamshire County Council Landscape Services have an opportunity to appoint a new Landscape Operative to their Grounds Maintenance team, working predominantly in the Mansfield district, based at our Skegby Depot.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of grounds maintenance including grass cutting, hedge trimming and landscaping
• Operate and maintain landscape equipment and ride-on mowers
• Apply chemicals in line with current FEPA regulations
• Undertake sports ground markings as required
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
• Work alongside a small team and supported by an Area Manager to service customers in a defined geographical area

What We're Looking For

• Proficient in the use of landscape equipment and ride-on mowers
• Knowledge of sports ground markings and chemical application under FEPA regulations
• A full driving licence including towing trailers is beneficial (B+E training can be arranged if required)
• Reliable and hardworking with a proactive approach
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Must hold an Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one
