Rate: £24 per hour (Umbrella)

Working Pattern: Hybrid (Minimum 2 days in office per week)
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Personal Advisor to join our team supporting care leavers in Peterborough. This is a hybrid role based at Sand Martin House, with a minimum of two days per week in the office. Due to the nature of the role, additional in-person work may be required to support young people in the community and attend appointments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of care leavers in line with departmental policies and relevant legislation.
- Work collaboratively with partner organisations to assess, plan, and deliver interventions.
- Support young people in attending appointments and achieving independence.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records using manual and digital systems.
- Attend and contribute to reviews, planning meetings, and case conferences.
- Conduct home visits and meetings in various settings (e.g., hospitals, custodial units).
- Assess financial needs and assist care leavers with budgeting and financial planning.
- Plan and record Pathway Planning meetings.
- Ensure safeguarding principles are upheld and concerns are reported appropriately.
- Deliver services in line with the Children Act Guidance and local safeguarding policies.
- Participate in supervision, appraisals, and ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
- Experience working with care leavers or vulnerable young people.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and relevant legislation.
- Ability to work flexibly, including occasional unsocial hours.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in using case management systems and maintaining accurate records.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and social justice.
