About the job:

On behalf of North Northamptonshire Council, Opus People Solutions are seeking a temporary Trainer/Assessor to complete a temporary assignment for a period of ten months. This role will involve delivering training at a venue in Northampton and remote working until the team return to their office base in Northampton. The successful applicant will support the growing programme of learning and development activities across all teams in Northamptonshire North and West Adult Social Care.

A good understanding and working knowledge of Adult Social Care is essential as the role will work closely with colleagues to ensure that all aspects of learning and development activities are supplied and delivered to a high standard.

We are looking for an individual who is suitably experienced and qualified to deliver training in subjects such as, and in particular:

  • Manual Handling (this is essential)
  • Dementia
  • Learning Disabilities eg. Autism, Asperger’s
  • Direct Service Care Subjects such as; Care planning, End of Life Care, Falls Prevention, Health and Safety, Dignity and Care, PPE and Hand Hygiene, Managing crucial situations and conversations
  • Care Certificate Assessing Support and Inductions

To also ensure a quality service is delivered to customers, NNC and WNC policies and values are complied with and reporting deadlines are met.
