About the job:

We have an excellent opportunity for Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team at Opus People Solutions. We work with local authorities and businesses across Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes to fill temporary and permanent jobs in a range of sectors including, business support & administration, social care and management, amongst many others.

As a Recruitment Consultant, your role is to manage and develop the working relationship with our candidates and suppliers across the East of England as well grow and build working relationships with new and current clients.

This is an exciting time to join Opus as the business continues to grown and we are looking for a driven individual who will be able to  provide the input the business needs and in return you will yield the rewards from all your contributions.

There will be remote working available, however you will need to be able to work on site in our Northamptonshire office (Angel Square, Northampton) two days per week.

  • Achieve all KPIs outlined by line manager
  • Identify and develop client/business relationships
  • Visit clients to build and develop positive relationships with them
  • Develop a good understanding of client companies, their industry, what they do, their work culture and environment
  • Advertise vacancies by drafting and placing adverts in a range of media, such as websites, job boards and social media
  • Identify and approach suitable candidates who meet specific job requirements, including those who may already be in work
  • Using candidate databases to match the right person to the client’s vacancy
  • Work with the marketing team to manage and direct marketing activity designed to engage relevant candidates. This includes monitoring, developing and growing the pool of potential workers to provide a comprehensive range of skills to meet clients’ requirements in terms of skills and geographic coverage
  • Prepare CVs and correspondence to forward to clients regarding suitable applicants
  • Inform candidates about the results of their interviews
  • Negotiate pay and salary rates and finalising arrangements between client and candidates
  • Offer advice to both clients and candidates on pay rates and training
  • Receive and review applications, manage interviews and tests and create a shortlist of candidates for the client
  • Ensure all candidates are fully compliant before starting work
  • Brief the candidate about the responsibilities, salary and benefits of the job in question
  • Identify, manage or contribute to projects and improvement initiatives required to enhance and develop the service
  • Work as master vendor with an agency supply chain to deliver the service to the client when unable to successfully place an Opus Peoples Solutions candidate.
  • Manage all elements of customer experience, including complaints, compliments and customer satisfaction monitoring with clients and workers
  • Manage communications channels with customers and workers that add value and enhance brand, reputation and experience
  • Deliver a quality, compliant service ensuring accurate data and compliance with policies and processes
  • At least 3 years of recruitment experience within the public or private sector
  • A proven track record of billings and hitting targets
  • Experience developing growth strategies for your client portfolio
  • The ability to identify the critical needs within a business and provide suitable solutions
  • First class candidate management skills and a proven ability to manage a range of candidates through the recruitment process
