About the job:

We are seeking a Marketing Manager on behalf of a local business to take a professional, pro-active and measurable approach to marketing in order to identify ways to strengthen the brand, convey the key messages and engage with existing and new audiences.

  • You will deliver the Marketing Strategy, ensuring the business communicates in a consistent, accurate, professional, and prompt manner with all audiences
  • Keep the Marketing Strategy under review and update the Strategy Action Plan on an annual basis
  • Publishes content to social media channels on a regular basis, in conjunction with executing and managing social media campaigns to build followers, enhance visibility, and drive engagement
  • Conduct analysis to assess the performance of digital content, performing “social listening” to identify influences and outreach opportunities
  • Work with internal resources and external agencies to provide content to third-party publishers on a regular basis
  • Continually make innovative recommendations regarding improvements for all departments of the business
  • Identify suitable print/digital advertising opportunities and negotiate space accordingly
  • Design print/digital pieces, in liaison with the external Brand Manager where necessary
  • Act as ‘brand guardian’ alongside the external Brand Manager and maintain/order any brand assets
  • Manage, develop, and market new brands, working in collaboration with partners, where necessary
  • Conduct appropriate market research including competitor analysis, demographic and economic reviews, and examination of trends
  • In conjunction with the external Brand Manager, create a development plan for the company website to meet the changing needs of the organisation including analysing traffic data, whilst also maintaining and coordinating updates for the website regularly
  • Overall management of the Marketing budget, in liaison with relevant colleagues, to ensure appropriate and effective spend. Also approving related quotes and invoices.
  • Carry out any other duties as may be reasonably required by the General Manager or Directors
  • Relevant demonstrable experience gained in a Senior Marketing role (5 years minimum)
  • Previous experience of line management duties
  • Experience in Food & Beverage, Flavour, Fragrance or Chemical sectors (desired)
  • Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent), graded A*-C
  • Relevant degree (desired)
