About the job:

We have an exciting and unique opportunity to join West Suffolk College as a Marketing and Employer Liaison Officer.

You will work as part of the marketing and PR department to promote the college’s offer to employers and schools.

The marketing and communications department is responsible for promoting the college course offer.

You will be working with key stake holders and be a key contact for all of these groups.

As a liaison officer you will be responsible for the proactive coordination of all the school liaison activities.

A full DBS will be required, preference will be given to candidates on the update service.

  • Be responsible for the promotion of the course offer to local businesses
  • Be the first point of contact for all employer perspective events
  • Contact college managers to obtain information for brochures
  • Actively participate in the organisation of events
  • Contribute to marketing events such as open days and exhibitions
  • Co-ordinate all school’s liaison activities across the college
  • Administer the budget within the department
  • Liaise with suppliers
  • An organised, methodical and flexible approach to work
  • An enthusiastic approach to working as part of a team
  • The ability to converse with individuals at all levels within organisations
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in administration or marketing
  • Experience working in a sales environment
  • Experience of working with a wide variety of people in professional capacity
  • Word processing skills and competent in the use of Microsoft applications
  • Holiday entitlement of up to 31 days per annum, pro rata (including bank holidays).
  • Permanent equivalent council pay rates offered after 12 weeks
