About the job:

We are looking for an experienced HR + Compliance Manager to lead our clients HR department across multiple sites. This is a diverse role that incorporates HR, Compliance and Health + Safety. The ideal candidate would have a career history within the Logistics/Manufacturing background.

  • Experience with Day to Day HR responsibilities; including employee engagement and wellbeing as well as employee training and development.
  • Previous experience with creating and maintaining company HR procedures and documentation
  • Organising and maintaining all mandatory and industry specific training
  • Working collaboratively with other departments
  • Updating and monitoring relevant policies, risk assessments and procedures
  • Auditing ( ISO / AEO / H&S)
  • General Industry Compliance knowledge to support the company or the reliable sourcing of information for: Customs, BIFA, Insurances, Destination requirements) ISO (9001) Certification requirements, AEO Certification requirements
  • Ongoing review and business support for the impact of Brexit
  • Organising and maintaining relevant training records for both machinery as well as more general training such as first aid and fire warden training.
  • Arranging mandatory external audits and site maintenance/services
  • Understanding and application of new industry requirements and law updates.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate with customers and colleagues in a tactful manner, show empathy and resolve conflict effectively
  • Ability to problem solve, define a problem systematically. Makes sense of information by organising it efficiently.
  • Ability to engage with the team effectively
  • Takes the initiative to learn and use knowledge of new and changing operating systems, processes and practices.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to adjust behaviour to suite new procedures, systems, or responsibilities.
  • Ability to clarify tasks, plan work in advance, and prioritise work to achieve deadlines.
  • Proficient with IT tools such as Excel
  • HR related training
  • NEBOSH Certification + AEO Consultant certificate
  • Workplace First Aid + Mental health awareness training
  • Dangerous Goods Awareness (IMDG)
  • ILM3, Management training
