About the job:

We are looking for a Health and Wellbeing Project Officer to support the coordination of the Health and Wellbeing projects across the L.A., the wider partnership and the community.

This is an 18 month, fixed term contract.

  • To support the planning and management of the L.A.’s Health and Wellbeing projects.
  • To manage project budgets and resources
  • To support and coordinate the effective partnership working within the L.A. (officers and members) in order to ensure that the ethos being health and Wellbeing is embedded
  • To support the process for identifying local priorities and initiate and support the delivery of health, wellbeing and development projects using an evidence base
  • To support the development of relevant Health & Wellbeing strategies and policies identified from assessment of need
  • To monitor National and local Public Health policy changes and communicate these to L.A. officers and members particularly the Council’s representative on the Health and Wellbeing Board.
  • Such variations as may be required from time to time without changing the general character of the duties shown above or the level of responsibility entailed.
  • To work with partners including the Clinical Commissioning group and the wider public health community to develop appropriate public health initiatives, maintain knowledge of potential funding sources and prepare funding bids for relevant projects

 

  • Experience of policy work including evaluation and dissemination of information
  • Record of successful project management.
  • Experience of dealing with public consultation
  • Knowledge & experience of computerised systems and the application and interrogation of information
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing at all levels, including external organisations
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Proven ability to be numerate and highly accurate; be well organised and produce quality work sometimes to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate a questioning and adaptive approach to review and analyse a variety of data and information
  • Ability to demonstrate a flexible work attitude to meet requirements of the service
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines / to help achieve service requirements

A degree or an NVQ, Level 6 in a managerial or professional/technical field desirable.
