About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Finance and Officer Coordinator to help provide efficient and effective business support to Clare Lodge in meeting its business objectives.

This role will be based at Clare Lodge which is a secure Children’s Home and based just outside of Peterborough. The role will be initially for 12 weeks, with the potential to be extended/made permanent.

  • To provide, efficient, effective business support to all functions of the service, developing and maintaining administrative/office systems and procedures in accordance with PCC policy and procedures.
  • To supervise and manage the office team.
  • To support the Home in meeting its financial obligations by processing/monitoring and reporting on all the finance systems.
  • Responsible for recording and monitoring Business Department staff holidays ensuring agency cover.
  • Engage in the quality monitoring arrangements of the home, creating and keeping a range of data solutions, gathering information from within and outside the service in relation to performance of the Business.
  • Assist with the ordering and maintaining of supplies of stationery and equipment and completion of the service inventory in accordance with City Council standing orders and within budgetary constraints.
  • To monitor and audit filing and record systems, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and security of information.
  • To advise on finance matters for the BSI Manager as required.
  • One off projects as directed by the BSITL and the Management team
  • To carry out all responsibilities with regard to the Council’s Equalities Policy and Procedures and Customer Care Policy.
  • To comply with all Health & Safety at work requirements as laid down by the employer.

  • Financial Systems (preferably but not essential Local Authority)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft systems; including word, excel, database etc.
