About the job:

The main purpose of this job is to provide information, guidance and advice to colleagues, partners and directly to children, young people and families to ensure they are enabled to achieve the best possible outcomes.

As a CYP Covid-19 Support Officer you will form part of CYP’s response to the coronavirus pandemic, supporting our offer to educational settings, early years setting and children’s homes, working with professionals across CYP and Public Health.

This is a work from home based role.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Collect and accurately report data gathered via a range of systems.
  • Prioritise and respond quickly to multiple requests, identifying cases which may need escalating due to concerns.
  • Adapt and respond to changes to relevant guidance, communicating and explaining these changes to education settings as needed.
  • Effectively communicate with CYP and health professionals who are responding to high pressured situations.
  • Self-allocate cases, following the agreed protocols and processes within the team.
  • Collate and populate outbreak management reports when required.
  • Provide verbal updates on education settings with positive cases to a wide range of professionals across CYP and Public Health.
  • Advise, support and as appropriate challenge settings, making use of current guidance, in a professional and calm manner.

Suitable professional qualification at graduate level or equivalent experience in a relevant area of work.
